Monument Town is a one of the El Paso County, Colorado, located in Western Region (Mountain) of United States. The population of the town was 1971 as per the 2000 census data. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 2588, giving it the 147th largest population among Colorado. It covers total area of 4.63 square miles (11.99 kmē), giving it the 97th largest by total area among Colorado.

As of the census of 2000, there were 1971 people, 725 households, and 550 families residing in the town. The population density was 426.1 people per square mile (164.52/kmē), making its Colorado's 79th least densely populated town. There were 770 housing units at an average density of 166.3 per square mile (64.21/kmē). The average household size was 2.72 people, and the average family size was 3.12 people. In the town the population was spread out, with 32.9% under the age of 18, 6.8% from 18 to 24, 38.3% from 25 to 44, 17.7% from 45 to 64, and 4.3% who were 65 or older. For every 100 males there were 102.4 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 105.3 females.
