Montrose City is a one of the Wright County, Minnesota, located in Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. In 2000, the population was 1143. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 2789, It is the 316th most populous in the U.S. state of Minnesota. It covers total area of 0.97 mi˛ (2.51 square kilometre), of which, 0.96 square miles (2.49 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 square kilometre) of it is water, making it Minnesota's 539th largest by total area.
