Montreat Town is a United States town located in the Buncombe County, North Carolina, United States. Montreat Town had an official population of 630 in 2000. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 696, giving it the 187th smallest population among North Carolina. Its area is just over 2.78 sq mi (7.2 kmē), it is the 299th largest by area in the U.S. state of North Carolina.
