Montreal City is a city located in Iron County, Wisconsin, in the Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. It is home to over 838 people (2000 census). According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city is 713, It is the 404th most populous in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The city comprises an area of 2.25 mi˛ (5.83 sq km), of which, 2.24 square miles (5.8 sq km) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 sq km) of it is water, makes it the 295th largest by total area in Wisconsin.

According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 838 people, 76 households, and 48 families living in the city. The population density was 373.9 people per square mile (144.36/km˛), making it the 122nd least densely populated city in Wisconsin. There were 487 housing units at an average density of 217.4 per square mile (83.94/km˛). The average household size was 2.22 and the average family size was 2.86. In the city Age distribution was 24.6% under the age of 18, 6.1% from 18 to 24, 27.8% from 25 to 44, 23.3% from 45 to 64, and 18.3% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 87.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 93.3 males. The median age is 39.8 years, The median age of males was 40.5 years, for females the median age was 38.8 years. The racial makeup of the city was 827 White, Black or African American, 3 American Indian, 1 Asian, Native Hawaiian, 7 from two or more races and Ohter races.
