Montour Falls Village is a city in the Schuyler County, New York, United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 1797 inhabitants. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 1769, It is 628th most populous in New York. It has total area of 3.03 sq mi (7.85 square kilometre), of which, 3.01 square miles (7.8 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 square kilometre) of it is water, making it the 375th largest by size in New York.

As of the census of 2000, there were 1797 people in the city, organized into 701 households, and 420 families living in the city. The population density was 597.7 people per square mile (230.77/kmē), it is the 221st least densely populated city in the U.S. state of New York. There were 755 housing units at an average density of 250.8 per square mile (96.83/kmē). The average household size was 2.22 and the average family size was 2.79. In the city the population is diverse age-wise, with 19.1% under the age of 18, 7.6% from 18 to 24, 23.9% from 25 to 44, 21.6% from 45 to 64, and 27.7% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 77.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 70.1 males. The median age was 44.4 years, The median age of males was 39.6 years, for females the median age was 50.7 years. The racial makeup of the city was 97.61% White, 1% Black or African American, 0.33% American Indian, 0.22% Asian, 0.17% Native Hawaiian, 0.67% from two or more races and 0% Other races.
