Montgomery County is a one of the county from Ohio's 88 counties, located in Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. As per the 2000 census, county has a population of 559062 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 534626, It is the fifth largest in terms of population. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 464.34 sq mi (1202.64 sq km), of which, 461.68 square miles (1195.75 sq km) of it is land and 2.67 square miles (6.92 sq km) of it is water, making it the 43rd largest by size in Ohio.

Its population was estimated at 534626 in July 2008, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 76.24% White, 20.41% Black or African American, 0.25% American Indian, 1.49% Asian, 0.04% Native Hawaiian, and 1.58% from two or more races.
