Montgomery City is a one of the Fayette and Kanawha counties, West Virginia, located in Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. In 2000, city's population was 1942 inhabitants. Its population was estimated at 1921 in July 2008, It is the 79th most populous in the U.S. state of West Virginia. The city spans an area of 1.59 square miles (4.12 kmē), of which, 1.57 square miles (4.07 kmē) of it is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 kmē) of it is water, makes it the 109th largest by total area in West Virginia.
