It is the 152nd largest by population in the U.S. state of Georgia. Its area is just over 6.12 miē (15.85 kmē), of which, 5.31 square miles (13.75 kmē) of it is land and 0.81 square miles (2.1 kmē) of it is water, making it Georgia's 137th largest by total area. It is ranks 17 in the size of its inland waterways in Georgia.
