Monroeville City is a city in the Monroe County, Alabama, United States. Monroeville City had an official population of 6862 in 2000. Its population was estimated at 6372 in July 2008, making it the 81st most populous in Alabama. It covers total area of 13.06 square miles (33.83 kmē), of which, 13.05 square miles (33.8 kmē) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 kmē) of it is water, making it Alabama's 94th largest by total area.
