Monroe Village is one of the city of Orange County, New York, located towards the Northeastern Region (Mid-Atlantic) of United States. As of 2000 the population was 7780. The July 2008 population estimate is 8168, It is the 236th largest in terms of population. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 3.48 miē (9.01 kmē), of which, 3.43 square miles (8.88 kmē) of it is land and 0.05 square miles (0.13 kmē) of it is water, makes it the 321st largest by total area in New York.
