Monroe City is a city located in the Sevier County, Utah, United States. As per the 2000 census, city has a population of 1845 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the city is 1853, It is the 124th largest in terms of population. The city extends throughout a territory of 3.54 miē (9.17 kmē ), it is the 164th largest by area in the U.S. state of Utah.

As of the census of 2000, there were 1845 residents, 636 households, and 512 families in the city. The population density was 521.7 people per square mile (201.43/kmē), making its Utah's 151st most densely populated city. There were 707 housing units at an average density of 199.7 per square mile (77.1/kmē). The average household size was 2.9 persons, and the average family size was 3.31 persons. For every 100 females there were 90 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 89 males.
