Monroe City is one of the city of Butler and Warren counties, Ohio, located towards the Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. As per the 2000 census, city has a population of 7133 inhabitants. In July 2008, its estimated population was 12178, It is Ohio's 224th largest by population . It is spread over 15.53 miē (40.22 kmē), of which, 15.51 square miles (40.17 kmē ) of it is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 kmē) of it is water, making it the 53rd largest by size in Ohio.
