Monongahela City, Pennsylvania is a city of the Washington County, Pennsylvania, United States. Monongahela City had an official population of 4761 in 2000. Its population was estimated at 4422 in July 2008, It is the 296th largest in terms of population. It is spread over 2.13 mi˛ (5.52 sq km), of which, 1.93 square miles (5 sq km ) of it is land and 0.21 square miles (0.54 sq km) of it is water, makes it the 342nd largest by total area in Pennsylvania.
