Monona City is a United States city located in the Clayton County, Iowa, United States. In 2000, the population was 1550. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 1424, It is the 193rd largest in terms of population. The city has a total area of 1.15 sq mi (2.98 square kilometre), makes it the 311th largest by total area in Iowa.
