Monett City is a one of the Barry and Lawrence counties, Missouri, located in Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. As of 2000 the population was 7396. In July 2008, its estimated population was 8939, giving it the 97th largest population among Missouri. Its area is just over 6.51 mi˛ (16.86 square kilometre), it is the 89th largest by area in the U.S. state of Missouri.
