The census designated place encompasses an area of 5.1 sq mi (13.21 square kilometre ), of which, 1.99 square miles (5.15 square kilometre) of it is land and 3.11 square miles (8.05 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 52nd largest in terms of geographical size. It is ranks ninth in the size of its inland waterways in Hawaii.
