Mishawaka City is a United States city located in the St. Joseph County, Indiana, United States. The population of the city was 46557 as per the 2000 census data. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 50026, It is 13th most populous in Indiana. The city extends throughout a territory of 16.05 square miles (41.57 kmē ), of which, 15.71 square miles (40.69 kmē) of it is land and 0.34 square miles (0.88 kmē) of it is water, making it Indiana's 29th largest by total area.
