Minnesota Lake City is one of the city of Faribault and Blue Earth counties, Minnesota, located towards the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. Minnesota Lake City had an official population of 681 in 2000. Its population was estimated at 638 in July 2008, making it Minnesota's 421st largest. The city has a total area of 2.07 square miles (5.36 sq km), of which, 1.58 square miles (4.09 sq km) of it is land and 0.49 square miles (1.27 sq km) of it is water, giving it the 308th largest by total area among Minnesota.

The population density was 431.6 people per square mile (166.64/kmē), it is the 540th most densely populated city in the U.S. state of Minnesota.
