Minco City, Oklahoma


Minco City is a one of the Grady County, Oklahoma, located in Southern Region (West South Central) of United States. As of 2000 the population was 1672. The city's estimated population as of July 2008 was 1802, It is the 157th largest in terms of population. It covers total area of 12.27 square miles (31.78 kmē), of which, 12.25 square miles (31.73 kmē) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 kmē) of it is water, it is the 90th largest by area in the U.S. state of Oklahoma.

According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 1672 residents, 658 households, and 468 families in the city. The population density was 136.5 people per square mile (52.7/kmē), it is Oklahoma's 157th least densely populated city. There were 714 housing units at an average density of 58.3 per square mile (22.51/kmē). It has an average household size was 2.54 persons, and the average family size was 3.07 persons. In the city the population is diverse age-wise, with 29.1% under the age of 18, 7.8% from 18 to 24, 26.8% from 25 to 44, 20.7% from 45 to 64, and 15.7% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 93.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 92.5 males. The median age of the city's population was 35.8 years, the median age of male residents at 34.4 and the median age of female residents at 37.3. The racial or ethnic makeup of the city was 1538 White, 1 Black or African American, 52 American Indian, 1 Asian, Native Hawaiian, 41 from two or more races and 39 Ohter races.
