Milton City is a city located in the Pierce and King counties, Washington, United States. In 2000, city's population was 5795 inhabitants. The July 2008 population estimate is 6786, It is the 155th largest by population in the U.S. state of Washington. The city extends throughout a territory of 2.57 mi˛ (6.66 sq km ), of which, 2.53 square miles (6.55 sq km) of it is land and 0.04 square miles (0.1 sq km) of it is water, making it the 291st largest by size in Washington.

As of the census of 2000, there were 5795 people in the city, organized into 2390 households, and 1563 families living in the city.
