The city extends throughout a territory of 15.59 mi˛ (40.38 square kilometre ), of which, 15.57 square miles (40.33 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 square kilometre) of it is water, makes it the 43rd largest by total area in Tennessee.
