Miller County is a county located in the United States of Arkansas. As of 2000 the population was 40443. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 43226, making it the 16th most populous county in Arkansas. The county extends throughout a territory of 637.48 square miles (1651.07 square kilometre ), of which, 623.98 square miles (1616.1 square kilometre) of it is land and 13.5 square miles (34.96 square kilometre) of it is water, makes it the 45th largest by total area in Arkansas.

The population density was 64.8 people per square mile (25.02/kmē), giving it the 16th most densely populated county among the Arkansas. There were 17727 housing units at an average density of 28.4 per square mile (10.97/kmē). It has an average household size was 2.52 persons, and the average family size was 3.02 persons. The population's age distribution was 26.5% under the age of 18, 9.7% from 18 to 24, 28.6% from 25 to 44, 22.1% from 45 to 64, and 13.1% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 95 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 90.1 males. The county's estimated population as of July 2008 was 43226, The racial makeup of the county was 31799 White, 10273 Black or African American, 325 American Indian, 226 Asian, 8 Native Hawaiian, and 595 from two or more races.
