Mille Lacs County is a United States county located in the United States of Minnesota. As of 2000 the population was 22330. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the county is 26377, It is the 39th largest county by population in the U.S. state of Minnesota. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 681.77 mi˛ (1765.78 square kilometre), of which, 574.47 square miles (1487.87 square kilometre) of it is land and 107.3 square miles (277.91 square kilometre) of it is water, makes it the 47th largest by total area in Minnesota.

The county's estimated population as of July 2008 was 26377, The racial makeup of the county was 24572 White, 126 Black or African American, 1257 American Indian, 76 Asian, 3 Native Hawaiian, and 343 from two or more races.
