Millard County, Utah is a county located in the Western Region (Mountain) of United States. In 2000, the population was 12405. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the county is 12082, It is 18th most populous county in Utah. The county spans an area of 6828.01 sq mi (17684.46 kmē), of which, 6589.13 square miles (17065.77 kmē) of it is land and 238.87 square miles (618.67 kmē) of it is water, giving it the third largest by total area among Utah's county. It is ranks fourth in the size of its inland waterways in Utah.

As of the census of 2000, there were 12405 people, 3840 households, and 3093 families living in the county. The population density was 1.9 people per square mile (0.73/kmē), it would be the eighth least densely populated county in the U.S. state of Utah. There were 4522 housing units at an average density of 0.7 per square mile (0.27/kmē). The average household size was 3.19 and the average family size was 3.66. In the county the population was distributed as follows: 37.3% under the age of 18, 8% from 18 to 24, 22.9% from 25 to 44, 19.4% from 45 to 64, and 12.3% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 104.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 101.9 males. Its population was estimated at 12082 in July 2008, The racial makeup of the county was 11622 White, 34 Black or African American, 196 American Indian, 69 Asian, 29 Native Hawaiian, and 132 from two or more races.
