Middletown City is a city in the Orange County, New York, United States. It is home to over 25388 people (2000 census). Its population was estimated at 25865 in July 2008, making it New York's 59th largest. It has total area of 5.15 sq mi (13.34 sq km), of which, 5.14 square miles (13.31 sq km) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 sq km) of it is water, giving it the 188th largest by total area among New York.
