Middleton City is one of the city of Dane County, Wisconsin, located towards the Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. As of 2000 the population was 15770. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 16244, It is Wisconsin's 43rd largest by population . Its area is just over 8.09 square miles (20.95 square kilometre), of which, 8.07 square miles (20.9 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 square kilometre) of it is water, making it Wisconsin's 71st largest by total area.
