Miami County, Kansas is a county of the United States of Kansas. As per the 2000 census, county has a population of 28351 inhabitants. Its population was estimated at 30989 in July 2008, making it Kansas's 19th largest county. The county spans an area of 590.15 mi˛ (1528.48 sq km), of which, 576.72 square miles (1493.7 sq km) of it is land and 13.43 square miles (34.78 sq km) of it is water, giving it the 20th smallest by total area among Kansas's county.

It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 30989, The racial makeup of the county was 29733 White, 532 Black or African American, 176 American Indian, 114 Asian, 3 Native Hawaiian, and 431 from two or more races.
