The city extends throughout a territory of 23.08 square miles (59.78 square kilometre ), of which, 22.4 square miles (58.02 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.68 square miles (1.76 square kilometre) of it is water, making it the 22nd largest by size in Massachusetts.
