The July 2008 population estimate is 132123, making it the 18th most populous in Texas. It is spread over 43.46 sq mi (112.56 sq km), of which, 43.42 square miles (112.46 sq km ) of it is land and 0.05 square miles (0.13 sq km) of it is water, it is the 45th largest by area in the U.S. state of Texas.
