Merrillville Town is a town in the Lake County, Indiana, United States. Merrillville Town had an official population of 30560 in 2000. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 33057, It is 26th most populous in Indiana. It has total area of 33.32 square miles (86.3 kmē), of which, 33.28 square miles (86.19 kmē) of it is land and 0.03 square miles (0.08 kmē) of it is water, it is the eighth largest by area in the U.S. state of Indiana.
