Meridian City is a United States city located in the Ada County, Idaho, United States. Meridian City had an official population of 34919 in 2000. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 66916, making it the fifth most populous in Idaho. The city comprises an area of 11.79 mi˛ (30.54 sq km), making it the tenth largest by size in Idaho.

As of the census of 2000, there were 34919 people in the city, organized into 11829 households, and 9515 families residing in the city. The population density was 2962.1 people per square mile (1143.67/km˛), it is Idaho's ninth most densely populated city. There were 12293 housing units at an average density of 1042.7 per square mile (402.59/km˛). The average household size was 2.93 and the average family size was 3.26. In the city the population was spread out, with 33.7% under the age of 18, 6.9% from 18 to 24, 37.1% from 25 to 44, 15.8% from 45 to 64, and 6.4% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 96.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 93.7 males. The median age of the city's population was 30.1 years, the median age of male residents at 30 and the median age of female residents at 30.1. The racial or ethnic makeup of the city was 94.3% White, 0.47% Black or African American, 0.48% American Indian, 1.26% Asian, 0.12% Native Hawaiian, 2.12% from two or more races and 1.25% Other races.
