Merchantville Borough is a one of the Camden County, New Jersey, located in Northeastern Region (Mid-Atlantic) of United States. The population of borough in 2000 stood at 3801 as per the Census data. Its population was estimated at 3764 in July 2008, giving it the 333rd largest population among New Jersey. The borough comprises an area of 0.6 square miles (1.55 square kilometre), making it the 29th smallest by size in New Jersey.

The racial or ethnic makeup of the borough was 85.9% White, 7.42% Black or African American, 0.29% American Indian, 2.1% Asian, 0% Native Hawaiian, 1.45% from two or more races and 2.84% Other races.
