Mercer Island City is a city located in King County, Washington, in the Western Region (Pacific) of United States. The population of the city was 22036 as per the 2000 census data. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 24163, It is the 49th largest by population in the U.S. state of Washington. It covers total area of 13.11 square miles (33.95 square kilometre), of which, 6.38 square miles (16.52 square kilometre) of it is land and 6.73 square miles (17.43 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 55th largest in terms of geographical size. It is ranks ninth in the size of its inland waterways in Washington.
