In the county the population was spread out, with 24% under the age of 18, 10.2% from 18 to 24, 30.6% from 25 to 44, 22.5% from 45 to 64, and 12.6% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 94.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 92 males. The July 2008 population estimate is 364883, The racial makeup of the county was 253204 White, 74952 Black or African American, 930 American Indian, 29754 Asian, 652 Native Hawaiian, and 5391 from two or more races.
