Mentor City is a city located in Polk County, Minnesota, in the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. As per the 2000 census, city has a population of 150 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 139, It is 144th least populous in Minnesota. The city comprises an area of 1.89 mi˛ (4.9 square kilometre), makes it the 331st largest by total area in Minnesota.

The population density was 79.3 people per square mile (30.62/km˛), it is Minnesota's 65th least densely populated city. The racial makeup of the city was 150 White, Black or African American, American Indian, Asian, Native Hawaiian, from two or more races and Ohter races.
