Menominee City, Michigan is a city of the Menominee County, Michigan, United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 9131 inhabitants. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 8324, It is the 124th largest by population in the U.S. state of Michigan. The city extends throughout a territory of 5.49 square miles (14.22 kmē ), of which, 5.18 square miles (13.42 kmē) of it is land and 0.31 square miles (0.8 kmē) of it is water, making it the 133rd largest by size in Michigan.

As of the census of 2000, there were 9131 people in the city, organized into 4063 households, and 2443 families living in the city. The population density was 1763.2 people per square mile (680.78/kmē), it is the 168th most densely populated city in the U.S. state of Michigan.
