Menifee County is a one of the county from Kentucky's 120 counties, located in Southern Region (East South Central) of United States. As of 2000 the population was 6556. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 6744, giving it the fifth smallest population among Kentucky's county. The county spans an area of 206.03 sq mi (533.62 kmē), of which, 203.9 square miles (528.1 kmē) of it is land and 2.13 square miles (5.52 kmē) of it is water, it is the 21st smallest in terms of geographical size.

As of the census of 2000, there were 6556 people in the county, organized into 2537 households, and 1900 families residing in the county. The population density was 32.2 people per square mile (12.43/kmē), it is the 16th least populated county in terms of population density. There were 3710 housing units at an average density of 18.2 per square mile (7.03/kmē). The average household size was 2.49 persons, and the average family size was 2.88 persons. In the county Age distribution was 24.9% under the age of 18, 10.1% from 18 to 24, 28.1% from 25 to 44, 25.2% from 45 to 64, and 11.8% who were 65 or older. For every 100 males there were 98.2 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 101.9 females. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 6744, The racial makeup of the county was 6568 White, 111 Black or African American, 8 American Indian, 2 Asian, 1 Native Hawaiian, and 54 from two or more races.
