Melrose City, Middlesex County, Massachusetts is a city located in the Northeastern Region (New England) of United States. In 2000, city's population was 27134 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 26708, It is the 51st most populous in the U.S. state of Massachusetts. The city encompasses an area of 4.75 square miles (12.3 square kilometre ), of which, 4.69 square miles (12.15 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.06 square miles (0.16 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 111th largest in terms of geographical size.
