Mellen City is a one of the Ashland County, Wisconsin, located in Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. In 2000, city's population was 845 inhabitants. The city's estimated population as of July 2008 was 775, It is the 401st most populous in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The city spans an area of 1.85 square miles (4.79 square kilometre), it is the 337th largest in terms of geographical size.
