Melissa City is one of the city of Collin County, Texas, located towards the Southern Region (West South Central) of United States. The population of the city was 1350 as per the 2000 census data. In July 2008, its estimated population was 4276, giving it the 800th largest population among Texas. The city has a total area of 4.59 sq mi (11.89 kmē), it is the 455th largest by area in the U.S. state of Texas.
