Medina Village, Orleans County, New York is a city located in the Northeastern Region (Mid-Atlantic) of United States. In 2000, city's population was 6415 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 6046, It is the 280th most populous in the U.S. state of New York. The city extends throughout a territory of 3.35 miē (8.68 kmē ), of which, 3.27 square miles (8.47 kmē) of it is land and 0.08 square miles (0.21 kmē) of it is water, giving it the 341st largest by total area among New York.

As of the census of 2000, there were 6415 residents, 2567 households, and 1577 families in the city. The population density was 1962.1 people per square mile (757.57/kmē), making its New York's 409th most densely populated city. There were 2796 housing units at an average density of 855 per square mile (330.12/kmē). The average household size was 2.41 and the average family size was 3.07. In the city the population was spread out, with 26.9% under the age of 18, 7.9% from 18 to 24, 27.2% from 25 to 44, 20% from 45 to 64, and 18% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 83.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 80.3 males. The median age is 36.6 years, the median age of male residents at 34.5 and the median age of female residents at 38.7. The racial or ethnic makeup of the city was 5638 White, 485 Black or African American, 38 American Indian, 36 Asian, 2 Native Hawaiian, 112 from two or more races and 104 Ohter races.
