Medina County is a one of the county from Ohio's 88 counties, located in Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. In 2000, county's population was 151095 inhabitants. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 171210, It is the 15th largest county by population in the U.S. state of Ohio. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 423.11 square miles (1095.85 kmē), of which, 421.55 square miles (1091.81 kmē) of it is land and 1.57 square miles (4.07 kmē) of it is water, making it the 57th largest by size in Ohio.

As of the census of 2000, there were 151095 people in the county, organized into 54542 households, and 42202 families residing in the county. The population density was 358.4 people per square mile (138.38/kmē), it is the 16th most densely populated county in the U.S. state of Ohio. There were 56793 housing units at an average density of 134.7 per square mile (52.01/kmē). It has an average household size was 2.74 persons, and the average family size was 3.15 persons. In the county the population was spread out, with 27.5% under the age of 18, 7% from 18 to 24, 30.6% from 25 to 44, 24.4% from 45 to 64, and 10.5% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 97.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 94.9 males. In July 2008, its estimated population was 171210, The racial makeup of the county was 165151 White, 2646 Black or African American, 257 American Indian, 1655 Asian, 28 Native Hawaiian, and 1473 from two or more races.
