Medina City is a city located in the Hennepin County, Minnesota, United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 4005 inhabitants. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 5076, It is the 145th largest by population in the U.S. state of Minnesota. It is spread over 26.9 square miles (69.67 sq km), of which, 25.57 square miles (66.23 sq km ) of it is land and 1.33 square miles (3.44 sq km) of it is water, making it the 48th largest by size in Minnesota.

According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 4005 people, 1309 households, and 1118 families residing in the city. The population density was 156.7 people per square mile (60.5/kmē), it would be the 141st least densely populated city in the U.S. state of Minnesota. There were 1337 housing units at an average density of 52.3 per square mile (20.19/kmē). The average household size was 3.05 and the average family size was 3.31. In the city the population is diverse age-wise, with 32.2% under the age of 18, 5% from 18 to 24, 28.5% from 25 to 44, 27.3% from 45 to 64, and 6.9% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 99.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 103.6 males. The median age of the city's population was 38 years, The median age of males was 38.9 years, for females the median age was 37.2 years. The racial or ethnic makeup of the city was 97.33% White, 0.47% Black or African American, 0.22% American Indian, 1.2% Asian, 0.02% Native Hawaiian, 0.57% from two or more races and 0.17% Other races.
