Meade County, Kentucky is a county of the United States of Kentucky. The population of the county was 26349 as per the 2000 census data. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 27043, It is the 41st most populous county in the U.S. state of Kentucky. It covers total area of 324.22 sq mi (839.73 square kilometre), of which, 308.51 square miles (799.04 square kilometre) of it is land and 15.71 square miles (40.69 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 59th largest by area in the U.S. state of Kentucky.

In the county Age distribution was 29.8% under the age of 18, 9.1% from 18 to 24, 32.7% from 25 to 44, 20.3% from 45 to 64, and 8.1% who were 65 or older. For every 100 males there were 99.6 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 101.7 females. In July 2008, its estimated population was 27043, The racial makeup of the county was 25405 White, 964 Black or African American, 169 American Indian, 164 Asian, 37 Native Hawaiian, and 304 from two or more races.
