Mcpherson City is one of the city of McPherson County, Kansas, located towards the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. As per the 2000 census, city has a population of 13770 inhabitants. Its population was estimated at 13396 in July 2008, making it Kansas's 25th largest. It covers total area of 6.2 sq mi (16.06 kmē), of which, 6.14 square miles (15.9 kmē) of it is land and 0.06 square miles (0.16 kmē) of it is water, it is the 39th largest by area in the U.S. state of Kansas.

The population density was 2241.6 people per square mile (865.49/kmē), it is Kansas's 33rd most densely populated city.
