Mclean County is a one of the county from Illinois's 102 counties, located in Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. In 2000, the population was 150433. The county's estimated population as of July 2008 was 165298, It is Illinois's 13th most populous county. Its area is just over 1186.29 square miles (3072.48 kmē), of which, 1183.53 square miles (3065.33 kmē) of it is land and 2.76 square miles (7.15 kmē) of it is water, giving it the third largest by total area among Illinois's county.


As of the census of 2000, there were 150433 people in the county, organized into 56746 households, and 35470 families living in the county. The population density was 127.1 people per square mile (49.07/kmē), it is 21st most densely populated county in Illinois. There were 59972 housing units at an average density of 50.7 per square mile (19.58/kmē). The average household size was 2.45 people, and the average family size was 3.03 people. In the county the population was spread out, with 23.5% under the age of 18, 18.6% from 18 to 24, 29.2% from 25 to 44, 19% from 45 to 64, and 9.7% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 93.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 90.4 males. Its population was estimated at 165298 in July 2008, The racial makeup of the county was 88.13% White, 7.2% Black or African American, 0.19% American Indian, 3.02% Asian, 0.04% Native Hawaiian, and 1.42% from two or more races.
