Mcduffie County, Georgia is a county located in the Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. As of 2000 the population was 21231. In July 2008, its estimated population was 21756, making it Georgia's 84th largest county. The county comprises an area of 266.3 miē (689.71 kmē), of which, 259.77 square miles (672.8 kmē) of it is land and 6.52 square miles (16.89 kmē) of it is water, it is the 43rd smallest in terms of geographical size.


As of the census of 2000, there were 21231 people in the county, organized into 7970 households, and 5857 families residing in the county. The population density was 81.7 people per square mile (31.54/kmē), it is the 57th most populated county in terms of population density. There were 8916 housing units at an average density of 34.3 per square mile (13.24/kmē). The average household size was 2.62 and the average family size was 3.08.
