For every 100 females there were 90.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 86.2 males. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 22707, The racial makeup of the county was 19905 White, 2531 Black or African American, 45 American Indian, 14 Asian, 2 Native Hawaiian, and 210 from two or more races.
