Matoaka Town is a town located in the Mercer County, West Virginia, United States. In 2000, the population was 317. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 305, It is the 40th smallest by population in the U.S. state of West Virginia. The town spans an area of 0.27 square miles (0.7 square kilometre), makes it the 17th smallest by total area in West Virginia.
