Massac County is a county located in the United States of Illinois. The county has a population of 15161 as per the 2000 census data. The July 2008 population estimate is 15070, making it Illinois's 28th smallest county. The county has a total area of 242.12 miē (627.09 kmē), of which, 239.05 square miles (619.14 kmē) of it is land and 3.06 square miles (7.93 kmē) of it is water, it is the sixth smallest in terms of geographical size.
